The UTS MBA

With an enrolment of approximately 3000 students, the UTS Graduate School of Business is one of Australia’s largest on-campus providers of postgraduate business education. The Graduate School of Business has a strong reputation for delivering high quality MBA programs, combining academic rigour with practice-based learning and industry-relevant material.

The UTS Business Faculty also recently joined the world's top ten percent of elite business schools, by earning accreditation from the American Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the world's top accrediting body for business and accounting schools.

Some of Australia’s most distinguished business leaders personally shape the form and content of UTS MBA programs. Comprised of CEOs and Board members from some of Australia’s most successful finance, IT, biotechnology, media and tourism companies, the Faculty’s Executive Council ensures UTS MBA programs are closely aligned with industry needs.

UTS offers three MBA programs tailored to the different professional and academic needs of its students. You are advised to apply for the MBA program that best suits your background.

MBA subjects may be chosen from a wide range of 22 majors and 42 sub-majors across traditional and emerging business disciplines. Depending on your specialisation, you may be eligible for membership of various industry bodies; for example, completion of the Professional Accounting major leads to associate level membership of CPA Australia.

The UTS MBA programs are:

  • MBA, the ‘classic’ MBA for those with at least four years’ work experience.
  • MBA Limited Work Experience, for those with little or no work experience.
  • Executive MBA, for those with at least six years' work experience in a significant managerial role.

Access to UTS MBA programs may be available to people with no undergraduate degree but who have substantial professional work experience, through successful completion of a UTS Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. These courses articulate into the MBA program.
