QUT offers numerous social and recreational activities and services. There are more than 50 different clubs to choose from, including over 20 international student groups. These clubs and groups provide a wide range of social activities and support services for students of all cultures and interests.

QUT’s centre for the arts, the Gardens Point Cultural Precinct, provides a creative focus for students and the people of Brisbane at one of the city’s more historically important sites. The QUT Cultural Precinct, which includes The Gardens Theatre and the QUTArt Museum, is situated on the centrally located Gardens Point campus. The Gardens Theatre is a versatile and intimate venue used for drama, music and dance productions, while the Museum presents the university's nationally significant art collection.

QUT provides numerous avenues for contact with formal and informal religious groups, on and off campus. Chaplains are available to help with students’ personal needs, pastoral care and the services of the church. The chaplaincy centres are available to people of all faiths for quiet prayer, worship services and prayer meetings.
