Deakin University - Medical School
Deakin University Medical School
Deakin University is entering an exciting new phase in its 30-year history with the establishment of the Deakin University Medical School.*
The MedicalSchool will be Victoria’s third medical school, and will be distinguished by its commitment to improving health and medical care in regional and rural Victoria.
This exciting project, due to admit its first Australian domestic stude

nts in 2008, aims to make an effective contribution to solving critical medical workforce shortages in rural and regional areas.

Another innovative feature of the program will be inter-professional learning with other health disciplines at Deakin such as nursing, dietetics, psychology, social work, and occupational therapy.
International students will be eligible to apply for the four-year graduate entry Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery course in 2010.
A range of undergraduate pathway programs are available at Deakin for international applicants, including Bachelor of Health Sciences with appropriate majors, Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science) with appropriate majors, Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Psychology, Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) and Honours (Psychology) and Bachelor of Arts with Psychology major and Honours (Psychology).
