Finding the Right Course
When deciding where to study in Australia there are certain points that you should consider.
- The First Step. Work out what area of study and degree you are interested in. Use the university profiles page to find out more about the different institutions and check the necessary entrance requirements. Contact us if you require any further information.
- Location. What attractions or places do you want to see while you’re in Australia? Does your area of study suit a certain type of environment? If you want to study environmental sciences it might make more sense to live in an area with nature reserves or a coastal area. But if you want to study in the business field, it might be a good idea to live in a city so you can gain work experience while studying. Check out the living in Australia section for further details.
- Climate. What type of climate do you enjoy? It varies a lot throughout Australia from tropical and hot in the north to more seasonal with cooler winters in the south. Check out the living in Australia section for further details.
- Culture. Do you like your creature comforts, or do you want to live away from the big cities? Cities are more likely to offer services and provide entertainment options than smaller towns. However living outside of a big city or in a regional area will give you the chance to experience a true outback lifestyle!
- Cost. Life in Australia is much cheaper than the UK. However some cities are more expensive than others, and regional towns are almost always cheaper than cities, so you will need to work out a budget. Check out our cost of living section for more information.
- Making your decision. The final step in your decision-making process is to combine all your research, and consider all the facts whilst maintaining focus on what you most want to achieve from both your study program and Australian experience. This should lead you to a final list, and you will be ready to apply! Contact us to find out more about how to apply.
